Putt in the Park

Albert Bridge Rd, Battersea Park, London SW11 4NJ, UK – 020 7228 4946

Love it, a lot of families there, and can be a bit of a wait between holes. However the operators are aware that children will play, and they make some of the holes a little easier during peak seasons. So things move along at a better pace and you can always get a pint to carry round with you.

Just had this amazing vegetarian sandwich as breakfast! Great place for family and friends.

Plonk Crazy Golf - Battersea

The Four Thieves, 51 Lavender Gardens, London SW11 1DJ, UK

You can play as many rounds as you like, it was super fun. The pub has a whole games room, great weekend activity.

Amazing fun, the pub has a great atmosphere and the golf was mad! great to have something like that in your local pub!

Putt in the Park

Wandsworth Park, Putney Bridge Rd, London SW18 1PP, UK – 020 8877 0713

I have played a round of golf here twice now and both times I thoroughly enjoyed it. To begin the staff are superb, extremely friendly and seemingly happy in their job. We ordered hot drinks both times to take around with us and they are pretty large, taste great, and a standard price. The course itself consists of 12 holes and is fun to play. While better in warm weather the cold failed to lower our moods. There are some basic rules which I guess are just in place to keep people from being at a hole for a long time and thus holding players up on previous holes. Luckily we played on quieter days and enjoyed a slow pace and even retook a couple of holes to try some trick shots and get some hole in ones (we would not have done this if busy). Overall the experience was great and something I will enjoy doing every now and then. It is a great value at £8 per player and you can go round again for another £4. Definitely worth checking out at least once, especially if you want to waste an hour having fun, either alone of with friends.

Lovely well made and well kept 12 hole mini golf course. Went on a sunny day and it was perfect. Can take your drinks from the bar around with you. Love the water features!

Capital Golf London

14 John Prince's St, Marylebone, London W1G 0JS, UK – 020 7493 4414

Honestly quite baffled by all the negative reviews. My old man who lives abroad asked me to get him a set of Ping clubs (all of them made to order with specific shafts and whatnot) and the owner(?) kept his promise when he said the clubs will be ready in 3-4 days. Pricing-wise: I did my research and the clubs I bought were competitively priced. Owner and staff were kind and helpful and never was I under the impression that they were pushy. Overall a very good retail experience.

Really friendly, helpful and competent staff. I've found exactly what I was looking for and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Kathmandu Kensington

168-170 Kensington High St, Kensington, London W8 7RG, UK – 020 7937 9842

This Kathmandu is especially good for luggage and travel storage products (see the basement floor). Their range is great if you're going on a trip and need options to allow you to travel compactly. Their luggage and bag options are well designed compared to their competitors, and are reasonably priced.

Very welcoming and helpful staff who knew what they were talking about. Unluckily there is not that big variety of items, but we managed to find all that we needed.

adidas Store

415-419 Oxford St, Mayfair, London W1C 2PG, UK – 0800 376 3705

good and knowledgeable staff and nice shop overall but need to work on the check-out experience and accept mobile payments on the floor to avoid people queing at the till.

I went to store few days ago, Staff was helpful and professional but I didn't like Adidas policy of not accepting returns of items bought online. When I bought the items I didn't know that and in store even explained how long took me to get items due to delivery delays nothing could be done. So I advise Adidas to change that as I bought online to save me time but if I have to return I would like to do it in store so I can try on to end the cycle, saving time.

Holland Park Golf School

Holland Park, Ilchester Pl, Kensington, London W8 6LU, UK – 07766 105594

I first took lessons with Sean 30 years ago as a beginner before leaving London. coming back to him recently I have found that his teaching has been very helpful in targeting and curing the bad habits I have picked up over the years. he is a great teacher, who can immediately identify where the problems lie, very sympathetic and encouraging, and I would highly recommend him.

At the beginning of the summer I applied for 6 private lessons and just 2 weeks ago I added other 12 because I am very happy with the improvement of my golf and with this special Coach Sean! I really recommend this school to people who wish to improve or wish to start this amazing sport.

Knightsbridge Golf School

47 Lowndes Square, Belgravia, London SW1X 9JU, UK – 020 7235 2468

Fantastic place for anyone who wants to understand how to put together a solid swing that you can rely on. I played for over 20 years with the odd lesson here and there making the same mistakes that most amateurs make - the out to in swing that had the ball going straight before the dreaded slice kicked in. Steve brought me back down to earth broke my swing down into the constituent parts before bringing it all together. I play very rarely these days (3 - 4 times max a year) and wanted a swing that could get me through a golfing holiday. It did that and some. I played some of my most consistent golf. Even when I had a few bad holes, I knew how to break it all down and get the sequence back together. Couldn't recommend this place more. Enjoy.

Been to Leslie King's since 1977 and have always returned wherever I've been located in the UK - shared many a story and learnt lots of valuable lessons which have stood me in good stead ever since. Dave Wilky and Steve continue the tradition which is unique and vastly under-appreciated by golfing amateurs and pros alike - best wishes for the next book due shortly. Heartedly recommended to any aspiring golfer who is keen to reach their true potential
